Our Story

Where Legacy Meets Modern Engineering

Tranco Tech (Private) Limited was co-founded in December 2011 by Rajith and Tissa Seneviratne, with a single discipline at its core: compressed air systems engineering for Sri Lankan industry. Headquartered in Colombo, the company operates as the authorised distributor for BOGE Kompressoren, Germany.

Tissa brings over four decades of experience in compressed air systems engineering. Rajith holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering, has trained directly under BOGE Germany, and leads all technical delivery and service operations day-to-day. The combined effect for our customers is straightforward — every system specification and every service intervention is backed by leadership that has personally engineered compressed air systems for industrial sites across Sri Lanka's manufacturing, pharmaceutical, textile, and food and beverage sectors.

Tranco Tech holds itself to the standards of its principal, BOGE Germany, and the global engineering practice that defines compressed air work. Audit methodology is aligned with ISO 11011:2013; equipment performance, air quality and energy management work reference ISO 1217, ISO 8573-1, and DIN ISO 50001. Spare parts carry a 10-year minimum supply assurance, and the service relationship is intended to last as long as the equipment runs — because compressed air, where it matters, cannot stop.

Rajith Seneviratne
Co-Founder  ·  Director of Engineering & Operations

Rajith co-founded Tranco Tech in 2011 — and has led it from the ground up ever since. As Director of Engineering and Operations, he carries full responsibility for the company’s technical delivery, service operations, client relationships, and strategic direction. Tranco Tech is not a company he joined — it is one he built.

Rajith has built his engineering career entirely within compressed air systems — developing a depth of specialist knowledge that only comes from fifteen years of solving real industrial problems, on site, across Sri Lanka’s manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and food and beverage sectors. The challenge of finding the right engineering answer — not the easiest one — is what drives him. That standard is what defines how Tranco Tech operates.

Tissa Seneviratne

Tissa Seneviratne is one of Sri Lanka’s most distinguished engineering professionals. With a career spanning over four decades across Sri Lanka and internationally, he has held roles from factory floor engineer to national industry leadership — culminating in a singular contribution: introducing BOGE Kompressoren to Sri Lanka, and founding Tranco Tech to build a lasting institution around it.

His standing in Sri Lanka’s engineering profession is both formal and earned. Past President of the Institute of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka, and Past Chairman of the Ceylon National Chamber of Industries — Tissa has shaped engineering practice and industrial policy at a national level. Not as a bystander, but as the person at the table making the decisions.

Today, Tissa serves as Tranco Tech’s guiding authority — mentoring the engineering team, advising on the decisions that matter, and ensuring that the standards he has spent a lifetime building remain the foundation of everything the company does.
