The ingenious combination of a modified PN nitrogen generator and an H2KAT hydrogen catalyst provides unbeatable efficient nitrogen processing. Those who need nitrogen of the highest purity class (5.0 — 0.001% O₂) save not only on the investment with the combined solution of PNK and H2KAT, but also — thanks to minimised energy requirements — significantly on running costs.

Various PNK models (PNK 150 to PNK 2000) with delivery rates from 20 to 375 Nm³/h offer a broad coverage of supply volumes. The preconfigured models are perfectly matched to the respective H2KAT model and can be easily combined.
The nitrogen supplied by the generator has a purity of 0.1% residual oxygen (3.0). In a specially developed reaction process (Deoxo), the nitrogen is treated in the H2KAT. The H₂ and O₂ molecules in the H2KAT are bound to H₂O. Thus, the remaining oxygen molecules are removed from the nitrogen by adding small amounts of hydrogen in an energy-efficient way and precipitated as water. In the end, highly pure nitrogen with a purity of 0.001% residual oxygen (5.0) is produced with extremely low compressed air volumes.
If the generator produces a purity of only 0.1% (instead of 0.001%) residual oxygen, the air factor can be almost halved — the generator can be designed significantly smaller and more cost-effectively. This not only reduces the purchase cost of the generator, but also that of the upstream compressed air components: a much smaller compressor and less complex treatment components also require less power, which greatly reduces operating costs.
The combination of the PNK nitrogen generator and the H2KAT hydrogen catalyst saves significant space compared to a large generator that provides the same purity. This makes the compact solution ideal for installation in containers.
The oxygen sensors fitted as standard in both the PNK and the H2KAT ensure that any deviation from the desired purity would not go unnoticed.

Two-Stage Deoxo Process
The PNK generator produces nitrogen at 0.1% residual oxygen (3.0 grade). The H2KAT then binds the remaining oxygen molecules with trace amounts of hydrogen in a Deoxo reaction, precipitating them as water and delivering nitrogen at 0.001% residual oxygen (5.0 grade) — with extremely low energy input.
Significantly Lower Cost
Because the PNK generator only needs to produce 3.0 grade nitrogen (not 5.0), the air factor is nearly halved. The generator, compressor and treatment components are all sized smaller — reducing both capital cost and ongoing operating cost substantially versus a standalone 5.0 grade generator.
Continuous Purity Monitoring
Oxygen sensors fitted as standard in both the PNK nitrogen generator and the H2KAT catalyst continuously monitor purity in real time. Any deviation from the required 5.0 grade is detected immediately — ensuring process reliability around the clock.
Broad Capacity Range
PNK models from PNK 150 to PNK 2000 cover delivery rates from 20 to 375 Nm³/h. Each PNK model is preconfigured and factory-matched to the corresponding H2KAT model, simplifying selection, installation and commissioning.
