The BOGE Converter is the only technology available on the market that can permanently deliver a residual oil content of Class 0 and guarantee oil-free condensate. A catalyst actively converts the oils and hydrocarbons contained in the compressed air into water and CO₂. Unlike conventional filtration systems such as activated carbon, the air quality remains consistently at the highest level.
A major advantage of the BOGE Converter BC series is its proverbial flexibility: a Converter can operate both in a compressor station and downstream of a fixed-speed or variable-speed compressor. It can even be used optimally as a terminal device for partial compressed air flows.
All models of the BC series are monitored by temperature sensors: this applies to the heating temperature in the internal heater as well as to the outlet temperature from the converter bed. If there are deviations from the setpoint, the controller adjusts automatically or shuts the catalyst down and closes the shut-off valve if the temperature is exceeded.
The integrated catalyst performs several tasks: it breaks down long-chain hydrocarbons into water and carbon dioxide, converts silicone into silicate (siloxane content ≤ 0.3 µg/Nm³ according to NIOSH 1501), eliminates carbon monoxide to a level of < 0.1% and also reduces germs, bacteria and viruses.
