Compressors produce heat — and heat is energy. BOGE Duotherm recovers up to 94% of your compressor's primary energy demand and redirects it as usable heat for space heating, hot water or production processes. The savings effect is immediate from the moment of installation.

BOGE offers various options to make the heat from the compression process available. The simplest is to directly capture the warm exhaust air to heat, for example, a work area or a storage hall. Considering that in principle up to 94 percent of the input energy in compressed air production can be available as usable heat for other purposes, it becomes clear how much energy can be saved per compressor.
Energy-intensive operations in particular are affected by electricity price developments. It is therefore all the more imperative to take measures to improve efficiency now! Heat recovery promises the most noticeable savings effect: first, it pays off quickly; second, it is supported by investment grants for technologies for heat recovery and waste heat utilisation from BAFA; and third, you simultaneously improve your “ecological footprint” — this too is part of the success story of the BOGE heat recovery systems.
BOGE duotherm BPT and duotherm BSW are proven systems that provide you with approximately 72 percent of the energy used by the compressor in the form of heat for further use. In both cases, all control elements are compactly integrated into the compressor. The latter solution offers a safety heat exchanger that prevents the two media from mixing in the event of a leak.
Heat recovery is an economically relevant topic even for oil-free screw compressors: all water-cooled oil-free models from 45 to 355 kW can be integrated to save energy and thus achieve — with a heat utilisation of 94 percent — service water temperatures of 90°C.
